The so-called thermocouple refers to a temperature sensor composed of two metal conductors of different materials. Using the Seebeck effect, the thermocouple generates a voltage by virtue of the temperature difference T between the junction of two different metals (temperature measuring junction) T1 and the measuring instrument junction (reference temperature junction) T0. When using a thermocouple to measure temperature, the measuring instrument measures the voltage.
